Life at Emmanuel

Pastoral Care (In Time of Need)

Emmanuel has an active pastoral care committee and network that, working together with our priest, ensure a continued “connectedness” for our homebound parishioners, as well as others who may be grieving, ill or recovering from illness, or hospitalized. Meals, cards, phone calls, visits—many times delivering Altar flowers after the Sunday services—are just a few of the ways that the committee, network, and parishioners reach out to those in our church community in their time of need.  During visits, Communion is regularly offered to these parishioners by our priest, along with several specially trained members of the pastoral care committee.

We care about each other.

“For each small step toward recovery, we are thankful. We could not have gotten through this without the love and support of the Church community."

“Words cannot express my gratitude for all your thoughts, prayers, cards, and calls during these past difficult weeks.”
