Fellowship

While worship is at the center of our parish life, we also enjoy opportunities to engage socially. Every Sunday the congregation comes together following our services for an informal Coffee Hour.
Coffee Hour is enjoyed in person over a cup of tea or coffee, while enjoying delicious baked goods provided by a weekly host. Parishioners gather to catch up, inquire about someone who is sick or in the hospital, to share information about community events or school activities, or to get to each other better. Coffee Hour is sometimes truly an hour, as parishioners both young and old linger, enjoying social time with friends. During the summer months we move outdoors for relaxed lemonade on the lawn.
More formal opportunities for fellowship occur on a regular basis, as well. Sometimes these events are tied to our liturgical life—such as the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Sometimes they are opportunities to relax and enjoy each other’s company, with events ranging from cookouts on the lawn to wine tastings to a German themed Oktoberfest. We also enjoy regular outings to area restaurants and sports games. We are always looking for opportunities to grow in our relationships with each other.
